Position Overview: Middle-level Business Controller
We are now looking for a Middle-level Business Controller to strengthen our finance organization. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, providing financial insights, performance follow-up, and analytical support to enable fact-based decision-making. You will operate independently in your area of responsibility while collaborating closely with senior controllers and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a financial partner for assigned business areas or functions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and rolling forecast processes
- Analyze monthly performance, identify deviations, and explain financial results
- Prepare management reports and dashboards with clear business insights
- Support cost control, profitability analysis, and business cases
- Contribute to financial closing activities and ensure data accuracy
- Drive continuous improvement of controlling processes and reporting tools
- Ensure compliance with Volvo Group financial policies and internal controls
Profile & Skills
- Solid experience in a Business Controller or Finance Analyst role
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
- Proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge assumptions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience in controlling, finance, or audit
- Good knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and Power BI is an advantage
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
